They are really easy to fill and really easy to close you don’t even need a heat press as long as you have a straightener.

  2. Mary Hooley

Excellent value for a reusable, strong storage bag.

  3. Bailey Thomas

Use with food saver and keeps food safe

I like the variety sizes I just started sealing stuff and then decided to bag up each set of mylar bags with 02 absorbers to make it easy and realized there’s at least five missing that was supposed to be 10 per bag but it’s only five so I’m hoping they’ll have five the ones that are still sealed in it cuz I’m only missing five and I have some from my canning stuff I can use but pretty sad cuz these are 300 we’re the ones I have for my canning stuff or only 50 to 100 it’s like at least 2 cuz I’ll make sure I use them for the half pint bags

Me encantan!

These are very durable bags. I love the pleat at the bottom so they stand on their own. Learning to prep dry goods and using these bags made it simple.

  7. MamaBear007

The gallon size bags were lots thicker than any Mylar bag I’ve ever used. I love that the oxygen absorbers are individually bagged. So far, this is the only set that has had the absorbers individually bagged. This makes it super easy to use one without exposing the others to oxygen. Anybody who has used oxygen absorbers will know that when they’re all in a single large bag, you have to hurry and take one out and then hurry to close the bag with the rest to keep them from absorbing oxygen. One more thing about oxygen absorbers… Don’t use them with food that has greater than 10% moisture. Doing so could cause the oxygen absorber to interact with the moisture in the food to cause botulism. Also, don’t use oxygen absorbers with salt or sugar, as doing so will cause your storage to go rock hard. Both warnings apply to all oxygen absorbers, not just these.

I use the three sizes offered in this pack regularly. Large ones for instant potatoes, dried milk, pasta. The medium ones are great for baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch and other smaller items, the smallest are great for storing spices. Love that this came with O2 absorbers, this is just a great, all-around pack that will get anyone into long term food storage quickly and affordably. I’ll be getting this again when I run out of bags.

  11. Mellisa

Got these to start food storage. Great price with the amount of bags you get.

  12. Sommer E.

These bags are 11mm thick which is amazingly thick for food products or other . Well the downside to this cheaper bundle is . You get allot of the largest bag and the smaller medium bags are what most need. The other issue is the mouth opening of the bag to fill it comes up too short and has a smaller opening than normal bags the upside os the corners seem reinforced by this so they don’t tear by seal. You can seal these using the zip lock and vacuum seal or quick sealer, there’s is a notch to rip back open as untouched . Customers like this , that’s all for these bags. Ohhh yeah big downside I later learned was people Prefer the window to see inside some.

  13. ds54321

Small bags are too small to use unless you have a specific food that requires it.

  14. Rob LeeRob Lee

3 different sizes and a perfect variety for any occasion. You can see these are sealed in a rounded manner on the bottom of all of them which kind of takes a way a little volume. The bags are thin and much thinner than I was expecting. I like how they are not see through as a lot of light can degrade the contents. The zip lock is good and I don’t find it any different than standard. The silica packs and labels are a great bonus. Everything is great except for the thickness. Great value overall.

I was very pleased with my purchase. These are actually the first mylar bags I have ever used. But they feel sturdy, like they will not puncture easily. The oxygen absorbers were in good condition, and they were sealed, which is a big plus for me. It was pretty neat to see them work. The bags looked like they were vacuum sealed after the oxygen absorber did it’s thing. I will definitely be buying this product again.

The bags are nice. I like how they stand on their own. The oxygen absorbers did not work unfortunately

I received product as described. I love putting things away for long-term storage and the smaller bags are perfect for adding sauce mixes and freeze dried vegetables etc.

  25. Alivia S

This bundle is great for the price and for finding your preferences in mylar bags. The 1/2 pint bags would be great for candy samples. They’re small but super thin and will tear if you’re not careful. I loved the quart bags! Perfect size and thickness. The gallon bags are even better as far as thickness goes, definitely great for long term. I do wish the bundle would’ve had 1/2 gallon bags instead of the gallon. The size difference between the quart and gallon is quite a big jump, not ideal for the business I’m in. They’d be best for emergency meal planning.

We bought these for food storage, dry goods like rice, beans, oatmeal, etc. I dumped the food in with 2 large oxygen absorbers and then sealed them shut with my wife’s flat iron. It heats up and she flattens her hair with it, seals the bags perfectly and it cheaper than the bag sealers that are for sale. I squeezed as much air out as possible, sealed the zip seal and my daughter sealed them shut. The next morning the bags had tightened up nicely. As the oxygen absodef works, the bag tightened up around the rice. The bags are thick, clean , no defects, and the zip lock seal works well. I work buying more. I like and recommend them.

Purchased for storing freeze-dried food. It would be nice if they came with some 1/2 gallon sizes as well. The small bags are very thin, the bigger ones are better. I am really hoping that the 300cc O2 absorbers work because we have put a lot of time/money into saving our garden produce. So far everything seems to still be dry and crunchy. we did put 2 absorbers in the 1-gallon bags.

  40. Billsezso.

Love the bags. Ziplock closures are great but they take 3 sealing attempts per bag to get a bond

  41. Serebro

I ordered these as we’ve been trying to put some flour and rice and seeds and nuts aside, given the rapid rise in grocery prices, and it’s well known in the prepping community that mylar bags do a wonderful job of keeping pests and unwanted moisture out, while locking the remaining moisture into dried fruit and jerky. The variety of sizes in this pack allow us to store flour and rice in large bags, things like sunflower seeds and slivered almonds and homemade granola in the small 1/2 pint (one cup) bags for snacks, and dehydrated apples and homemade jerky in the quart bags. They’ve allowed us to fit an entire 25-lb bag of rice in storage, and another of flour, without risk of either going stale or being full of pests when we go to use them. They’re thick enough that they won’t get damaged unless you’re storing them somewhere with nails sticking out of the wall, and the zipper tops are thick enough that they seal up pretty easily instead of being a struggle. If we decide to fill them with, say, strawberry puree for smoothies, they freeze really well, too. And when we empty one, they’re pretty easy to wash out and reuse after they dry (a quick shot inside with a hair dryer on low prior to refilling helps make sure they’re totally dry inside).

I love that the bags stand and zip. I also love that the O2 packets are individually sealed so I can use them at my own pace without having to worry about the whole bag going bad while I work. I used them for sprouting seeds. The small bags are perfect as you use the seeds so slowly. They work perfectly!

  47. Douglas C. Meeks

I am very impressed with the strength and thickness of these bags. I usethem both for freezing items, especially if it is a piece of meat that has abone in it which could puncture a regular seal/storage bag, as well as,shelf stored items such as rice and beans. I am impressed with thedifferent sized bags, as well as, the oxygen absorbers being supplied inthis offer. More importantly, these mylar bags are reusable which cuts theprice of these bags immensely. You are limited by your own imagination asto how these bags can be used. I found them to be great on road tripsespecially when I am taking my grandchildren along. Wonderful to seal uptreats, damp cloths, anything really. I am totally pleased with them andwould suggest them to everyone.

I am a Professional Home and Personal Chef and I also teach cooking and knife skills. I take all of my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items, other accessories, and food products very seriously. When I test and review culinary and other items, I am highly critical and meticulous in evaluating and rating them. My reviews are honest, unbiased…always as objective as possible, and my opinions are always my own. Good is good…bad is bad!I am not only passionate about safe food storage, but also one who recognizes in these times of supply shortages and empty shelves during any weather or other emergency that long-term storage of essentials is critical for comfortable survival. Mylar bags have always been a boon to contingency storage and this set of bags meets a number of those needs. The various bag sizes ensure that bulk, as well as single-serve food products, can be stored for long periods of time without spoiling and with oxygen removed by the included O2 absorber packets. Labels for indicating ingredients are also included. The bags themselves are well made and very robust. The gallon-sized bags are great for things like rice, oats, dry beans, nuts and much more. The smallest bags are great for storing single-serve items, snacks, protein items, and more. The zip locks on the bags should only be used for short-term storage or for items that will not spoil. It is FAR better to use a vacuum sealer…whether automatic or with a hand pump to securely seal the bags for extra long-term storage. Many food items can be maintained for virtually years if stored in these bags properly.I also use these Mylar bags for freezer storage of meats and fish to prevent decay and to maintain freshness. Additionally, as a chef who dehydrates, smokes, and cures a lot of meats, veggies, and fruits…these bags are a lifesaver for long-term availability. In these uncertain times, when so many products are in short supply, supermarket shelves empty, storms and other catastrophes possible, and when inflation is hiking prices faster than we can keep up… having a well-stocked pantry or basement shelves full of foods and other products that can be stored for emergency use can be a lifesaver. These bags are really perfect for that purpose. This value-priced package of bags, with all the necessary O2 extractors and labels, easily rates a full FIVE STARS for me, and I strongly recommend them for your family. Great product, and a very fair price!

These bags are nice and thick. They seal well and block light and moisture. I liked the different size options. I wish the o2 absorbers came in smaller separately sealed packs, but it is simple enough to take out what I need and reseal with an impulse sealer.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will mylar bag shrink like vacuum sealed after using oyxgen absorber?
Air is about 20 percent oxygen and 80 percent nitrogen. Oxygen Absorbers remove only the oxygen, NOT THE AIR. The air left in the container is mostly nitrogen and will not affect the food or allow the growth of insects. Therefore, the final packaging may not have the appearance of being “vacuum-packed” because of the remaining nitrogen in the package. The only way to get a good vacuum seal inside the bag is to use a vacuum sealer.

How can you tell if the oxygen absorbers are working?
When it was removed from vacuum sealed package, oxygen absorber starts working (absorbing oxygen). You will feel the absorber starts feeling warm. Put the oxygen absorber in the oxygen bag after filling the products. After sealing the bag, you can feel the warmth from outside of the mylar bag. There is no need to put the oxygen absorber inside the middle of the products. You will not be able to feel the warmth of the oxygen absorber.

Can I put 300cc oxygen absorbers into the pint sized mylar bag?
300cc oxygen absorber is enough for 1 gallon size mylar bag. In another word, 300cc will absorb all the oxygen inside a 1 gallon mylar bag. Yes. it can also be put into smaller sizes, pint or Quart size bag.

How long will the mylar bags and oxygen absorbers last?
Mylar bags last forever if they are used and stored properly. They can be used with temperature 0°F-183°F. Oxygen absorbers has a shelve life of 20 years if stored in vacuum sealed condition. 10 of our oxygen absorbers are vacuum sealed in 1 bag. You just need to use 10 of oxygen absorbers once the vacuum bag is open. The remaining vacuum sealed oxygen absorbers will last for years to come.

Why are the oxygen absorbers getting hot while packaging dry goods? Is it safe to use?
As soon as the package of absorbers are opened, they start drawing in oxygen from the air. Heat is the product of this reaction. It’s always best to prepare your mylar bags with foods ahead of time so the absorbers don’t stay long in the open. Immediately vacuum seal the unused absorbers. Then quickly seal the mylar bags you are using your absorbers in, so that they will remove the oxygen from inside the sealed bag and not the open air. Oxygen absorbers are made of iron powder. YES, they are safe for food storage. DO NOT EAT the oxygen absorbers.

Are these BPA free ?
Mylar bags are made from food-grade material that is BPA free, eco-friendly, durable, and tasteless. These bags have three layers: PET, aluminum foil, and PE, all of the three do not contain BPA.

Do I need to use a sealer or iron for this to work or will the zip lock be enough?
Need to heat seal bag for long term storage. Use vacuum sealer, hair straightener, steam iron. Zip lock sealer is only for short term use, or reuse for other foods when bag is empty.

How Does it work?
